Scrum Master

About the role

Sierron is seeking a Scrum Master to support the State of Louisiana, Division of Administration, Office of Technology Services (OTS). OTS consolidates the State’s IT platforms, systems and applications, leads its technology procurement, and standardizes technology across in-scope agencies.

What you will do

• Guide the team and organization using Agile and Scrum best practices, methodologies and values.
• Assess the Scrum maturity of the team and coach it to higher levels at a sustainable pace.
• Remove impediments, or guide the team to remove them.
• Facilitate work assignments, discussion, decision making, team building and conflict resolution.
• Improve transparency and communication, supporting product managers to maximize return on investment and meet the organization’s objectives.
• Support and educate the Product Owner, including grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
• Deliver using the most appropriate agile methodology, such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe or XP.
• Lead with a servant-leadership style and by example.

What we look for

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology or a related field.
• 5 years of Scrum Master experience.
• Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with change management.

Preferred

• Identifying and building key performance indicators to measure program performance.
• Experience with agile tracking tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Creating and maintaining product timelines, status reports, communication plans and other product management documentation.
